Man receives 21-year sentence for ramming car into Liverpool parade crowd Paul Doyle, who drove his car into a crowd of FC Liverpool supporters during a victory parade, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison. The attack, which lasted roughly two minutes, injured 134 people aged from six months to 77 years, with over 50 requiring hospitalization, during the May 26 event in Merseyside, England. Doyle pleaded guilty in November to multiple charges, including 17 counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, nine counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, three counts of wounding, and one count each of dangerous driving and affray. Judge Andrew Menary described Doyle’s actions as causing “horror and devastation on a scale not previously experienced by this court,” noting that he struck victims head-on, knocked others onto the car, crushed prams, and forced crowds to scatter in terror. CHIBOK COMMUNITY IN BORNO STATE,REJECTS F.G OFFER TO REBUILD THEIR SCHOOL.

              According to the Caretaker Chairman of the Chibok Council Area,Mallan Ba'ana Lawan,accused government of several broken promises regarding the rescue of the girls,since their abduction  in April.''It is disheartening to inform you that since  the abduction of these girls,the Federal Government did not bother to send delegations to Chibok to sympathize with the parents,instead the parents were invited to Abuja and conveyed in cargo military plane with no comfort what so ever.We still observed that recently,President Gooluck Jonathan visited Mubi and Baga,but failed to visit Chibok to sympathize with our people.We also observed that the President and Chief of Defence Staff,Air Vice Marshall Alex Badeh had severally promised that these girls will soon be released,but it is now more than 300 days,and nothing of such happened.We thank God and appreciate Governor Kashim Shettima and his wife,Nana Kashim Shettima who did not only visit Chibok when the incident took place,but also secured admission for the 59 school girls that escaped from Boko Haram captivity to study in various schools in the country and for all the other assistance the couples have rendered to the parents''.This past weekend Jonathan sent Minister of state for power,Alhaji Mohammed Wakil,to reassure the community of the safe return of the abducted students but it appears the gesture came too little too late.If you ask me ohh,i know Goodluck was a bit slow to their response but i can remember back then when he attempted to visit Chibok,they said their was a breach of security.And for Christ sake,it is the responsibility of every Nigerian,to help search for the girls not just the government alone.Politics should not played in now because i am suspecting is because of politics,that was why the girls were missing in the first place..More photos below.
