Lagos Demolition Victim Begs Govt: “We’re Not Animals” A 63-year-old victim of the Oworonshoki demolition has appealed to the Lagos State Government for urgent help, saying many displaced residents are stranded without shelter. Speaking on Channels TV’s Morning Brief, she said residents received no notice before the demolition and that the N200,000–N300,000 given to some indigenes was insufficient to secure new housing. “We are not goats; we are not animals. Please help us,” she said, noting that many now sleep in water tanks and on the streets, including elderly and sick residents.
I am so sad to see a young girl so full of life just die like that. She is identified as Blandine, and she was electrocuted on May 25th to death after the power bank she was using to charge her phone got stuck on her skin and electrocuted her.According to sources, she was chatting with a friend when she fell asleep and placed the power bank around her breast region. She had connected the power bank to an electricity source so it can charge when power is restored. As power was restored to her area, their was a power surge, the power bank got heated and got stuck on her skin electrocuting her to death. Her parents were the one's that found her dead. Please we should be careful with all these devices that look harmless, they can cause more damage than we thought.May her soul rest in peace,AMEN.One more photo below.
