 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. THE NIGERIAN MILITARY,IMPOSED A CURFEW AFTER BOKO HARAM ATTACKED MAIDUGURI.

                     Today friday morning,it was reported that the Nigerian military has imposed a curfew on the North eastern city of Maiduguri,following an attack by suspected Boko Haram fighters.The attack took place on wednesday.Heavy shooting and explosions were heard on the out skirst of the city,with many fleeing their homes.Residents said they heard heavy shooting and explosions on the outskirts and began fleeing their homes.Maiduguri has become under Boko Haram attacks on Dozens of occasion.The gruop has been relatively quiet recently with the Nigerian army making gains against it's strong hold,the Sambisa forest.Maiduguri has not been attacked since two major takeover attempts in late January and early Febryary and several bombings in march.Several hundred insurgents carried out the latest attack in Maiduguri.The militants were reportedly trying to kidnap a group of women when security forces responded.
