 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Zedi Feruzi, the head of the Union for Peace and Development (UPD) was walking home under police protection in Bujumbura's Ngagara district when he came under fire                     Eyewitness said Zedi Feruzi,Chairman of the Burundian Union for Peace and Development {UPD Zigamibanga} was shot by unidentified people when he was walking home in Bujumbura's Ngagara district,adding that one of his guards was also shot dead and another seriously injured.The killers ran away after the shooting.The assassination came days after apposition protests against the third term bid of Burundian president Pierre Nkurunziza in the June 26 2015 Presidential election.Zedi Feruzi was among the organizers of protests against Nkurunziza's third term bid that staged protests since April 26.The Organizers of protests include the opposition and civil society.May his rest in peace,Amen.
