 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.                  He just announced that he will resign as president of FIFA,concerning a major international scandal involving 14 senior FIFA officials accepting 10 million dollars in bribe from the South African government.Sepp Blatter said ''I only want to do the best for FIFA and my institution.I decided to stand again as the best option for football.The elections are closed but the challenges we face haven't come to an end.FIFA needs restructuring.Although FIFA have given me a new mandate,it doesn't seem to be supported by everyone fans,clubs,those who inspired FIFA like we do''.Since last week the FBI in the United States has charged 14 with high level official corruption.After 17 years,Sepp Blatter announced that he will intiate an ''Extraordinary Congress'' to find his successor.
