 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. KOGI AND AKWA IBOM,PICKED AS THE 2 SITE FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS IN NIGERIA.

                 It was reported today that two sites for the construction of its planned nuclear power plants,as Nigeria tries to end decades of electricity blackouts.Russia state owned Rossatom,which has been in talks with Nigeria over the nuclear plants,yesterday friday confirmed two sites had been selected in Nigeria and they said they would have a total of four reaction.This facts were made to the public by Nigeria nuclear agency.Nigeria with a population of around 170 million has installed power capacity that fluctuates between around 6,000 MW to just over 7,000 MW,according to the Transmission company of Nigeria,with 80 percent of its power plants fired by gas.A source at Rosatom said one nuclear power plant costs between $5billion to 8billion,though the Nigerian government have not yet disclosed to us,on how they are going to fund the project.
