 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. Miss Chappell was killed while taking pictures in the safari park north of Johannesburg on Monday while taking a break from a two-week volunteering project on a nature preserve                                                                      On monday last week i reported that one American lady was mauled to death by lions in South Africa.Now the lady is being identified as Katherine Chappell,an editor on Hit TV show Game of thrones.She was mauled to death through an open window,after she stopped to take a photograph in a South African Safari park.The image you are seeing today is the real image on how the lioness attacked her.The lion is seen standing on its hind legs,while the lioness is seen peering into the vehicle seconds before it attacked Katherine Chappell.38 years old Engineer Ben Govender who was in the car behind Miss Chappell,said ''No one could have imagined what could happen in the minutes after he took the extraordinary photograph''.He described the terrifying scene as he watched the animal take its first bite out of the passenger on the back seat before retreating from the vehicle,blood dripping from its mouth and paw.29 year old Miss Chappell was killed on monday while taking a break from a two week volunteering project on another nature preserve,in South Africa.Engr Govender said further that ''We all thought she done and didn't like what she'd just bitten.But then like someone in a temper that wasn't satisfied in a fight,she leaped back into the car and mauled the passenger.The rangers came runnin in and the two lions ran off but the lioness had half the passenger's shoulder in her mouth.And it was too late to do something to save her.We decided to show our friends a local spot where they could see real lions in a wild setting.The SUV infront of us stooped next to two lions and the fdriver rolled down his window''.The funeral will be held tomorrow in Rye,the suburb of New York where Miss Chappell grew up.Yesterday friends and relatives of Miss Chappell gathered outside a funeral home in Rye,New York to pay their last respect to a kind,brilliant,adventurous and highly spirited woman.More photo below.                                                              Horrifying: This image captures the horrifying the moment the lioness reared up before attacking American tourist Katherine ChappellMiss Chappell with Thomas Schelesny, who won a Primetime Emmy for a 2014 episode of Game of ThronesWake: Family and friends gathered at a funeral home in Rye, New York yesterday to pay their respects to Miss ChappellFinal farewell: Her funeral will be held tomorrow in Rye, the suburb of New York where Miss Chappell grew up.
