 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. A THIRD CASE OF EBOLA VIRUS CAUSED BY A DOG,WAS CONFIRMED TODAY+NIGERIAN GOVT,CLOSE OUR BORDERS.

                   The Nigerian Government should take note of the fact that the war against Ebola virus is not over in Africa and that can even make infected people to escape from their countries to Nigeria for fear of being put away from the society.Most of our Nigerian brothers and sisters have started revisiting countries that are now battling with recent cases of Ebola virus even in Nigeria,our social life style is now back to normal.Today a third Ebola virus case was confirmed,nearly two months after it was declared Ebola free and officials said they were investigating whether the disease had managed to lurk in animals before resurfacing.Dr Moses Massaquoi,Case Management team leader forLiberia's Ebola Task Force said the three villagers who had tested positive for the disease had shared a meal of dog meat,which is commonly eaten in Liberia.''They come from the same time and have a history of having had dog meat together.The response team was investigating whether domestic animals might be carrying the virus''.He also referred to the mysterious deaths of hundreds of cattle in remote Lofa country.More photos below.
