 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being.                                                                                             Is so sad that these Hollywood couple could not stand their selves anymore,so few days ago,they announced their divorce.Though a source claimed that Jennifer Garner could not stand Ben Affleck's gambling any more that was why they decided to divorce.So today,Ben Affleck was paying a visit to his mother,to sick comfort from her after the divorce went public.Another source is claiming that one of the major reasons they decided to divorce is that Jennifer Garner feels like Ben Affleck is just another one of their children and she is tired of having to care for him the way she does her own other children.Ben is now filling that nurtring from a mother,while Jenner is now turning to her family and friends for support.Sources said ''Ben's mother had been a constant rock for him.She had remained close to the family as well.She's been there for him through this extremely difficult time.He is really leaning on his mother for support.Ben and his own mom have been so close that infact that Ben chose to ditch plans with Jennifer to spend this mother's day with his own mom.Back in May they're through with their marriage,he told Jen that he wants the official statement to come out before their Ten year Wedding Anniversary''.More photos below.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
