Peter Obi lies like fish drinking water –Festus Keyamo Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has accused the 2027 Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of deliberately fabricating claims regarding a recent airport incident. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ on Thursday night, July 30, Keyamo alleged that Obi lied about his experience at the airport to score political points. “That man was lying. He lies like a fish drinking water. He lies. He lies for fun,” Keyamo stated. The Minister noted that Obi had publicly complained of facing harassment from airport officials strictly due to his opposition status. Yesterday friday,according to some Gambia prison officials,they said 200 prisoners including 31 jailed for treason during multiple plots to overthrow long ruling President Yahya Jammeh.Hundreds of cheering and weeping friends and relatives gathered outside the Mile 2 prison,to greet the released prisoners.Officials said those linked to a failed attempt to oust Jammeh in December remain imprisoned although their family members,including the elderly mother of the alleged ringleader,were freed.Former inmates,some of whom were jailed for 15 years,took turns to express gratitude for their release,announced by Jammeh in a speech on wednesday to celebrate 21 years since his accesssion by military coup.Three Dutch citizens,a German and an Australian who had been jailed on drug charges were among 49 foreigners released.
