 NSCDC Deploys 4,000 Personnel in FCT for Yuletide Security The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FCT Command has assured residents of robust security throughout the Christmas and New Year festivities. Commandant Olusola Odumosu announced that 4,000 personnel have been deployed across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its surrounding areas to ensure public safety and protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure. The personnel, drawn from various specialized units including the Special Intervention Squad, Counter Terrorism Unit, Arm Squad, Agro Rangers, and others, will work to maintain peace and order during the festive season. In a statement issued on Thursday, signed by command spokesperson Monica Ojobi, Odumosu called for strict adherence to the operation order and emphasized the importance of securing key locations such as infrastructure, worship centers, markets, and recreational areas. GERMANY ACCUSED BRITAIN OF REFUSING TO HELP DESPERATE ASYLUM SEEKERS,INTO THEIR COUNTRY.

                    Today tuesday,German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel criticized Britain for not taking part in a European plan to share the burden of taking in desperate people fleeing war and poverty in North Africa and the Middle East.European leaders last month agreed on a voluntary scheme to take in 60,000 asylum seekers but Britain has a long standing exemption from EU rules on border issues,along with Ireland and Denmark.The leaders also agreed to excuse Hungary and Bulgaria.According to Germany's Interior Ministry report shows that in the first five months of 2015,nearly 142,000 people applied for Asylum in Germany,Europe's biggest economy,a 127 percent increase on the previous year.
