Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. The photographs from William and Kate daughter's baptism on Sunday was taken by Mario Testino at Sandringham House.Their daughter Princess Charlotte was baptized by Archbishop of Canterbury in a private service at the church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham.Princess Charlotte was worn a fine robe Honiton lace line with white satin,a hand made replica of the christening robe made in 1841 for the christening of Queen Victoria's eldest daughter,Victoria.The replica was commissioned by the Queen after Lady Louise Windsor's christening and was made by the Queen of Englands dressmaker.Princess Charlotte was baptised from the water of River Jordan in the Lily Font which was commissioned by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1840,and has featured in nearly all the Queen's children and grandchildren christening/baptism.More photos below.
