 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. TRIBUNAL STRUCK OUT JIMI AGBAJE'S PETITION,AND CONFIRMS AMBODE APPOINTMENT AS GOVERNOR TODAY.

                The Tribunal had today wednesday struck out the Petition filed against the election of Mr Akinwunmi Ambode of the APC by the PDP candidate,Mr Jimi Agbaje,following a preliminary objection filed by the counsel to the APC candidate,Chief Wole Olanipekun {SAN}.In reaction  to the ruling of the state election petition Tribunal headed by Justice Mohammed Sirajo,the Governor of Lagos State Ambode said that ''I am elated at the ruling of the tribunal which is an affirmation of my victory at the polls.On April 11,2015,the people of Lagos spoke with their votes about continuity and that is what the tribunal has just reaffirmed.The task ahead requires concerted efforts from everyone.I urge all my opponents to put the election struggles behind them and in the spirit of sportsmanship join hands with me to take Lagos to the next level''.The statement signed by his Chief press secretary,Habib Aruna further said that ''It has needless in the first place for the PDP to have petitioned my election which was adjudged to be free,fair and credible.Now that the right thing has been done which of course the people expected,we should all come together above partisanship and move the state forward''.
