 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 22 HOUSES,WASHED AWAY YESTERDAY IN ABUJA AFTER A VERY HEAVY RAIN FALL.

              Today tuesday,victims of yesterday flood in Abuja spoke with NAN that the rainfall yesterday monday night flooded their houses and washed away valuable property.One of the victims,Blessing Samuel,said that she narrowly survived when the house she was living in with her child collapsed.''My child and i were sleeping at about 4:00am.When we woke up,we saw water everywhere in the room.All i could think of is my child.I rushed and picked my baby and immediately went out of the building and saw the house collapsing''.22 houses were destroyed by the flood.Mr Ibrahim Daniel,the council's Chairman,who visited the flood scene and sympathised with the victims,advised the residents against dumping refuse inside drains.Daniel who promised  to assist the people,said he would report the matter to the appropriate authority for further action.The flood took place at Sheda in Kwali Area council of the FCT.They are also calling on National Emergency Management Agency {NEMA} to assist them.
