 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. A FRENCH SOLDIER DEPLOYED TO C.A.R,ACCUSED OF SEXUAL ABUSE.

                                According to the United Nation top human rights official,he said that a French soldier deployed to Central Africa Republic has been accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl in the latest in a series of misconduct allegations against peacekeeping forces there.U.N High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein said U.N staff were informed on August 30 of allegations that a French Soldier sexually abused a girl in her mid to late teens last year.She gave birth to a child in April and lodged a paternity case with local authorities.In a statement today during a visit to Central African Republic he said ''We simply have to find ways to prevent such odious acts being committed by any soldiers anywhere who are supposed to be protecting vulnerable populations''.He further said that French authorities had been informed of the latest allegation and the U.N mission,which took over peacekeeping duties from Frencj troops,had offered to help investigate.
