The Delta State Police Command has recorded fresh operational successes in its sustained crackdown on criminal elements across the State. 1. RAID OF CRIMINAL HIDEOUT; ARREST OF 14 SUSPECTED CULTISTS/ARMED ROBBERS On 27 April 2026 at about 1130 hours, operatives of Safe Delta, Operation Delta Sweep, and Operation Delta Shield, acting on the directive of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, stormed a notorious black spot known as Best Lodge in Oko Community. The operation resulted in the arrest of fourteen (14) suspects, comprising thirteen males and one female.                         A press release by the Nigerian Police Force that was captioned ''Be warned,ban on fire works in force-IGP Arase''. was posted to their official social media page and it states that ''It has come to the knowledge of the Nigeria Police Force that some Nigerians have started using fireworks and firecrackers in anticipation of the yuletide celebrations.With the present security situation,occasioned by recent bombing in parts of the country,the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon E.Arase,fdc,NPM,is advising Nigerians to desist from using fireworks,otherwise called ''knock out'' as the ban on it is still in force.This warning becomes crucial as there are reports that hoodlums are now using fireworks to confuse Nigerians in order to carry out their nefarious activities.Violators of this warning will be made to face the wrath of the law.Ag.ACP Olabisi Kolawole,Force Public Relations Officer,Force Headquarters,Abuja''.One more photo below.
