 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. 22 PEOPLE DROWNED IN BURKINA FASO ON THURSDAY,IN A BUS ACCIDENT.

                    On thursday,22 people drowned in a dam in Burkina Faso after a bus they were travelling in,veered of the road and plunged into a dam in Kiebalgo region of the country.Eight other people were injured in the accident.The government said in statement that ''A total of 22 people were drowned in thursday's accident when a minibus fell into a dam in Kiebalogo,on national route 27.Investigation are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident''.Though sources claimed that road accidents are frequent occurrences in Burkina Faso with the poor state of roads and vehicles often to blame.Kibalogo is located 45 kilometres from Burkina Faso's second city of Bobo Dioulasso..
