 LAWMA SEALS PREMISES ON AGO PALACE WAY, ARRESTS 11 DUMPERS ON LAGOS ISLAND … Intensifies Enforcement Against Illegal Waste Disposal In renewed enforcement efforts, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has sealed premises identified for persistent illegal waste dumping along Ago Palace Way and arrested 11 persons for illegal waste disposal in various parts of Lagos Island. The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, said that the enforcement operations underscored the Authority’s resolve to enforce existing waste management regulations and ensure compliance with approved waste disposal practices across Lagos. He explained that the Ago Palace Way operation covered plazas, hotels, lounges and warehouses along the corridor, as part of efforts to tackle activities contributing to waste build-up and environmental nuisance on road setbacks, medians and other unauthorised public spaces. LATE AUDU'S SON ''MOHAMMED'',NOMINATED BY THE APC TODAY TO REPLACE HIS FATHER.

                     Today thursday,late Audu Abubakar's first son 43 year old Mohammed was nominated by the All Progressive Congress {APC} in Kogi east to replace his father as the party's governorship candidate.The leaders,stakeholder and delegates who made this known in Lokoja to day thursday after a marathon meeting,sad they arrived at the decision after due consultations.Their spokesman,Mr Daniel Isah,the Vice Chairman of APC in Kogi East,said they have resolved and are determined to back Mohammed to replace his father if the National Working Committee orders fresh primaries.Isah thanked the independent National Electoral Commission and the national leadership pf the party for the opportunity given to them to find a replacement for Audu who died on November 23 at Ogbonicha,Ofu Local Government.He appealed to the national leadership of the party to give their decision utmost consideration and approval in the overall interest of the party and the state.
