 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. ZIKA VIRUS ENTERED SOUTH AFRICA RECENTLY,THROUGH A BUSINESSMAN.

                                       According to the South African Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi,who confirmed the first case of zika virus in their country through a Columbia business.The businessman was found to have the disease during a visit to Johannesburg.He said ''The businessman presented with Fever and a rash approximately four days after arrival in South Africa but is now fully recovered''.The World Health Organisation {WHO} declared the outbreak a global public health emergency on February 1st,noting its association with two neurological disorders-microcephaly in babies and Guillian Barre syndrome that can cause paralysis.Am wondering what measures the Nigerian government is taking to ensure they detect those carrying the zika virus into our country,to avoid un-necessary loss of lives.More photos below.
