SERAP seeks court order to restrain FG from suspending sachet alcohol ban The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has approached the federal high court in Lagos to seek an order restraining the federal government from suspending enforcement actions relating to the proposed ban on sachet alcohol products. This follows a recent directive from the office of the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), which suspended all enforcement actions related to the proposed ban
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has arraigned the duo of Essien Ekanem,a Kaduna Lawyer and Murtala Shariff,before Justice Tukur Muazu of Kaduna State High Court on a 9 count charge bordering on conspiracy,Criminal Breach of Trust and Obtaining Money under false pretence.Then yesterday monday 29 of February,the EFCC secured the conviction of one Mfon Obot Essien {alias David Morris,Femi James} at the Lagos State High Court,Igbosere.Justice R.A Adebiyi convicted Essein on all the the six count charge preferred against him by the EFCC and sentenced him accordingly.One more photo below.
