 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. FRSC IS SET TO COMMISSION OPERATIONAL VEHICLES,AMBULANCES AND TOW TRUCKS,TOMORROW.

               The Federal Road Safety Corps has concluded plans to formally unveil vehicles comprising operational vehicles,ambulances and a heavy duty tow truck,tomorrow monday the 16th of May 2016 at the Peace Park by International Conference Centre in the Federal Capital Territory,Abuja.According to the FRSC's Head of Media Relationa and Strategy,Bisi Kazeem,the formal commissioning which will have President Muhammadu Buhari as Special Guest of Honor,is designed in partial fulfilment of the Corps drive to achieve the 2016 corporate strategic goals which seeks to reduce road traffic crashes by 15% and fatalities by 25%.Speaking on the proposed formal launch of the patrol vehicles ,the FRSC Corps Marshal Boboye Oyeyemi stated that the occasion ''WWill symbolise the sustained intent of the Federal Government to raise the bar on the road safety management and collective dedication to the task of exploring innovative and resourceful ways of funding the road safety intervention in the road sector''.One more photo below.
