 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT,RECENTLY TRAINED 1,000 UNEMPLOYED YOUTHS.

                          Lagos State Ministry of Youths and Social Development,in collaboration with Rated Cranes and Scaffold Nigeria Limited,commenced a Seven-Day Vocational Training Programme in Plant and Heavy Equipment for over 1,000 unemployed youths in the state.Speaking at the Gbagada and Oshodi Youth Centre during the opening ceremony of the training programme,the State Commissioner for the Ministry of Youth and Social Development,Mrs Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf said the vocational training programme is targeted at bridging the gap between what the vocational centre offers and demand of employers of labour.She noted that it is in fulfilment of the commitment of the state government to promote and encourage the acquisition of technical skill as a catalyst for youth empowerment,job and wealth creation.The Commissioner,who was represented by the Director,School Social Services in the Ministry,Mrs Foluke Omotosho,stated that ''The training programme is a life transforming exercise because it will present a platform for the teeming youths to equip themselves with necessary knowledge for self-reliance which will invariably help them cater for themselves and their families''.One more photo below.
