Flu outbreak hits Air Force basic training in Texas after vaccine mandate lifted, with 159 cases reported among recruits A flu outbreak is affecting Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas, with at least 159 confirmed cases and two hospitalizations reported among recruits as health officials respond to a cluster of infections at Joint Base San Antonio. The outbreak developed over the past several weeks and has prompted medical staff to isolate symptomatic trainees, treat cases, and monitor those who were in close contact with infected individuals. Officials said additional cases and hospitalizations are still being assessed. An Air Force spokesperson confirmed the situation, describing it as a localized influenza outbreak within the basic military training program. Troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army involved in Operation SHARAN DAJI,the outfit to clear cattle rustlers,armed bandits and kidnappers in the north west geo-political region in the country,yesterday cleared armed bandits in Gobirawan Kwacha,Dansadau District of Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.During the encounter in the forest,the troops were able to kill 3 armed bandits and recovered 1 AK-47 rifle,1 AK-47 magazine and 11 rounds of 7.62mm {Special} ammunition.Unfortunately,the bandits shot and damaged the troops vehicle.However,none of the soldiers was injured.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.One more photo below.
