 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 6 PEOPLE DEAD TODAY IN KENYA,AFTER MILITANTS SPRAY TWO BUSES WITH BULLETS.{PHOTOS}.

                                                At least six people have been killed and several others injured in Mandera County,in north-eastern Kenya,after gunmen sprayed two buses with bullets,today friday morning.The gunmen ambused the vehicles near Wargadud in El Wak,north eastern Kenya.Government official Fredrick Shisia told pressmen that the attack happened at 9:30 am {06:30 GMT} as buses were travelling to Mandera town from the capital,Nairobi.Locals say the dead include a Kenya Police Reservist and a bus driver.The country security committee had suspended travel by non-locals using until after Ramadan,due to threats by the terror group.The warning on thursday came after police refused to provide security,following a previous attack that left five officers dead.More photos below.
