FG ARRAIGNS 400 TERRORISM SUSPECTS The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi (SAN), has arraigned for prosecution over 400 terrorism suspects. Judiciary Correspondent Austin Anyebe reports that the trials are taking place in different courts at the Federal High Court complex in Abuja. A team led by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Lateef Fagbemi SAN supported by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), is prosecuting the suspects. Similar mass trial took place in April 2026. In that trial out of 508 defendants, the AGF's office secured 386 convictions, with 8 discharges and 2 acquittals. Many of the convicts received prison sentences of up to 20 years. The defendants are facing charges linked to terrorism, aiding and abetting insurgent activities, and financing. Koffi Olomide,who was caught on camera on friday kicking one of his female dancers right infront of police officers,though he later denied assaulting her her,was just arrested in his home country Congo 'Kinshasa'from his house .The reason for his arrest is still unclear,but it comes after the 60 year old musician assaulted a dancer at the Komo Kenyatta International Airport,over the weekend an incident that led to his deportation and cancellation of his show at Zambia's Agricultural and Commercial society,where he was scheduled to perform at the 90th edition.According to another source,he was charged with assault and battery,the source claimed that he has been charged to one year imprisonment for the offence.More information later.More photos below.
