 LAGOS RE-INTRODUCES MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE …Governor, Deputy lead State officials to clean up Mushin corridor Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced the re-introduction of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in the State. The Governor said the exercise will hold every last Saturday of the Month between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am but without movement restrictions. He stressed that the exercise would be monitored by State officials with appropriate sanctions to be meted out to erring neighbourhoods and markets. Sanwo-Olu made the pronouncement during a ceremony held in Olosa Bus Stop in Mushin which marked the symbolic flag-off of the monthly sanitation. The Governor, who led his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and member of the State cabinet on the mission, said the culture of environmental responsibility must be imbibed by the residents across all communities in the state and reflect same in their lifestyle. EFCC ARRAIGNS A CONTRACTOR TODAY IN ABUJA,FOR N2.4 BILLION 'ONSA' CONTRACT SCAM.{PHOTOS].

                 The EFCC today friday,July 15,2016 arraigned one Olugbenga Obadina alongside his company,Almond Projects Limited,before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama,Abuja on an eight-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust,corruption and money laundering to the tune of N2.4billion.Obadina allegedly collected a sum of N2,417,000,000.00 {two billion,four hundred and seventeen million naira},paid into his company's account in tranches,between 2014 and 2015 from the account of the Office of the National Security Adviser,ONSA,under Col. Sambo Dasuki {Rtd} without contract award.The offence is contrary to Section 15 {2}, {d} of the money laundering {prohibition} Act 2011 as amended in 2012 and punishable under Section 15 {3} of the same Act.Justice Dimgba,after argument by both the defence and prosecution counsels,adjourned to July 18,2016 for ruling on the bail application and ordered the accused person to be remanded in Kuje prison custody.More photos below.
