 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. NIGHT WEDDINGS IN KENYA COASTAL TOWN OF MOMBASA,HAVE BEEN BANNED.

                         According to CCTV,Kenya security agents have banned night wedding ceremonies at the coastal town of Mombasa due to increased cases of insecurity.Wedding organizers have been asked to ensure the weddings end by 10 pm or seek clearance from the security agents and must get police protection,which is paid for according to the Daily Nation.The decision came after increases attacks on residents by knife wielding gangs.Some of the residents supported the ban while others opposed the decision claiming that security should be free to allow the celebrations to continue as usual.The Swahili community in the region hold overnight events,weddings that extend up to five days.''The government cannot ban night weddinfs,which are cultural in this region..Instead,security agencies must deal with the gangs.We are in the 21st century and such orders are archaic'' said Commission for Human Rights and Justice executive director Julius Ogogoh.A group of young criminals have been roaming the streets of Mombosa robbing and beating up according to the local media report.One more photo below.
