 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.                 Russia finally get the nod to compete in the 2016 Olympic s in Rio after ban is lifted on some sports people.270 Russians cleared to compete at Olympic Games and over 100 other Russian athletes banned from competing in th games in Rio Brazil.A three member International Olympics Committee panel made decision following an appeal by some Russian sports people.Those given the go ahead include 29 swimmers and canoeing world champion,17 Russian rowers among others.
