IMO STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE OF 6TH DECEMBER, 2025 IMO POLICE COMMAND INTENSIFY CRACKDOWN ON KIDNAPPING, VIOLENT CRIMES ALONG OWERRI–ABA EXPRESSWAY As part of ongoing efforts to curb kidnapping and other violent crimes along the Owerri–Aba Expressway, a high-powered team led by the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma on Saturday, 6th December, 2025, inspected suspected kidnappers hideouts in Umuhu Autonomous Community in Ngor-Okpala following credible intelligence on Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, currently at large. The delegation included the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Chioma Egu; Chief Pathologist, Imo State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibeaja Okechukwu; members of the Ngor Okpala Vigilante Group led by Mr. Henry Ikpe; and the Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon. Ogun State Governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun,has assured of his administration's commitment to complete the ongoing construction of Sango-Ojodu road.The governor stated this,yesterday saturday when he visited some parts of the 32km road construction project,which comes along with five bridges,during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.Speaking during the project inspection tour,Governor Amosun promised residents and commuters whose daily activities are affected by the current state of the road that, ''the hardship of this raining season would be the last that you would experience on this road before the completion of the project''.While explaining that the road construction would have been completed but for paucity of fund,the governor described it as a huge project adding that this was why all previous administrations in Ogun State avoided it.''But we are determined to tackle it headlong and put an end to the hardship always experienced on the road by our peopl,'' Governor Amosun said.The Gvernor,while appreciating residents of Ijoko,Ykoyo,Alagbole,Akute and other communities on the path of the project,for their patience and support,assured that by Match next year,''the 5 overhead bridges on the road would have been completed''
