 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. A MAN WAS SENTENCED YESTERDAY BY KANO HIGH COURT TO 195 YEARS FOR STEALING.{PHOTOS}.

                       
                               Kano State High Court presided by Honourable Justice Dije Abdu Aboki has convicted and sentenced on Aliyu Suleiman to 195 years imprisonment.The convict was arraigned by the EFCC on the 30th of September,2014,for allegedly stealing over N21,000,000 {Twenty one Million Naira only} from Albasu Micro-finance Bank.Upon his arraignment,the convict pleaded not guilty to all the count charge brought against him by the EFCC.In her judgement yesterday wednesday,November 2,2016,Justice Aboki sentenced the convict to serve two years on each of count one to forty four and fine of N300,000 on each.Where the convict defaults the fine,he is to serve additional six months imprisonment.From count 45 to 74,the convict was sentenced to fine of N500,000 or twelve months imprisonment on each count while on count 75 to 105,he is to pay fine of N200,000 or twelve months imprisonment on each count with the exception of count 97 which appeared to be duplication.The sentence were to run concurrently.The convict was also ordered to restitute the sum of N14,815,00 {Fourteen Million,Eight Hundred and Fifteen Thousand Naira Only} to the Albasu Community or spend five more years in prison.The convict was a former staff of Oceanic Bank who was engaged and entrusted by the Albasu Community to take charge of their Microfinance Bank.While in charge,the convict violated that trust and siphoned over N21,000,000 {Twenty Million Naira} by foging signatures of the other signatories to the funds.One more photo below.
