Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. Twenty Finalists emerged in the EFCC's partnership with Creative Youths Initiative against Corruption {CYIAC} Talent hunt Competition.The event which is aimed at sensitizing children and youth between ages 9-14 years on the ills of corruption through creative development is happening now at the freedom park,Broad street,Lagos.The Executive Chairman,EFCC,IbrahimMagu,represented by Director,Public Affairs Department,EFCC,Osita Nwajah in his speech appreciated the German Embassy,the Press and Nigeria's Nobel Laureate,Professor Wole Soyinka for their contributions towards the success of the Initiative.The stage is set for the Finalists to compete for various prices and awards that is due for potential Champions who are able to prove themselves worthy of recognition after a series of competitive screening exercises involving Primary and Secondary School Pupils and Students from various Schools in Lagos,Nigeria.The Project will be rounded up at the Nigeria Stock Exchange,Lagos on December 1,2016 during which the Nationwide Campaign against corruption is expected to be launched.More photos below.
