 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. Question: How long are you planning to stay in the east this season?
Reply: For now an in Onitsha and I arrived here yesterday and I intend to stay here for 8 days.
Question: So what other activities are you doing tomorrow Christmas day?
Reply: Tomorrow after service i will cook,before going to GRA Onitsha to see my childhood friend and her family.
Question: How is the recession affecting your Christmas?
Reply: Recession did not affect my Christmas that much because i cut my clothe according to my size in terms of what I bought,And I was able to travel of which I do yearly.
Question: Do you have anybody or group of people you want to wish a Merry Christmas?
Reply: Yes I would like to wish my immediate family,friends and well wishers,facebook friends,and everyone that contributed and impact in my life positively a happy Christmas and new year in advance.
