 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. WE'LL COMMENCE DISBURSEMENT OF N25BN ETF IN DECEMBER-AMBODE.{PHOTOS}.

                    Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on tuesday said the State Government will commence the disbursement of the N25billion Employment Trust Fund {ETF} initiative of his administration by December,2016.Governor Ambode,who spoke in Lagos at the graduation ceremony for 500 artisans trained by the State Government on modular employability programme in nineteen different trades,said the informal sector remains a critical vehicle for economic recovery,adding that Government was passionately committed to repositioning the sector for economic gains.He said the N25billion ETF,which would be disbursed for the next four years on N6.25billion annual basis,was one of the initiatives designed to empower the informal sector,adding that government was open to idea and strategies that would aid sustainable growth of the sector.
''Let me tell you clearly that the N25bn ETF is for artisans and entrepreneurs in Lagos State.We will commence disbursement from the month off December,2016 and let me assure you that a larger percentage will go to our carpenters,our tailors,our hairdressers,our vulcanizers,and so on.Everybody that is a tradesman ans is an artisan in Lagos will have automatic access to the employment Trust Fund {ETF},'' Governor Ambode said.More photos below.
