Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. The Lagos State AIDS Control Agency {LSACA} has embarked on HIV Counseling and Testing {HCT} sensitization programme among the NAGARI NAKOWA Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Lagos State.Speaking at the event held at the salvation playing ground,Epe,the Chief Executive Officer of the Agency,Dr Oluseyi Temowo said it was important to have HIV intervention programmes among the okada riders based on their prevalence in Epe division.He posited that to eradicate HIV in Lagos State by 2030 based on the 90-90-90 initiative,every nook and cranny of the State must be visited to carry out HCT.
