 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. EMERGENCY RESPONDERS ON STANDBY FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION TOMORROW IN LAGOS.

No automatic alt text available.               The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu has declared that all security operatives and emergency responders will be on alert to respond to any form of emergency or distress call during the conduct of the Local Government and Local Council Development Areas’ election on Saturday.
He advised Lagosians to be peaceful and calm while performing their civic responsibility during the exercise, urging them to comply with the rules and regulations before, during and after they must have cast their votes.
The General Manager further stated that the restriction of movement will not affect workers such as the LASEMA Response Unit, (LRU), Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) and Lagos State Fire Service amongst others because they provide essential services that may be needed by Lagosians. �While soliciting for the cooperation of Lagosians in ensuring the success of the LG/LCDA polls, Tiamiyu said the emergency toll-free numbers 767/112 are open for any emergency or assistance that may be required in any part of the State.
