 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. EFCC ARRAIGNS ONE OVER DUD CHEQUE YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

Image may contain: 1 person, standing                                                 The EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Office today, 21st August 21, 2017 arraigned one Jacob Jerome Mona before Justice K.N Kunaza at the State High Court, Bauchi on a three count charge for the offence of Conspiracy, Criminal Breach of Trust and Issuance of dud cheque to the tune of Eight Million Naira.
Jacob who is the Managing Director Tari Oil and Gas Limited sometimes in 2016 recieved a total of 40,000 litres of diesel valued at Eight Million Naira of which he issued a post dated cheque to one Abdullahi Mohammed to present on his behalf. The cheque was returned unpaid due to insufficient funds in Jacob's account and efforts to get him pay the beneficiary proved futile. The case has been adjourned to 29th August, 2017 for commencement of trial.One more photo below.
