 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

INTERIOR MINISTER ENGAGED PARTICIPATANTS OF NIGERIA ARMY WAR COLLEGE COURSE IN AN INTERACTIVE SESSION ON THE IMPERATIVE OF INTERAGENCY COLLABORATION TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

Image may contain: 31 people, people smiling, people standing                Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Lt General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd) has re-stated the imperative of intelligence sharing by security agencies in Nigeria through inter-agency collaboration. The Minister who stated this during an interactive session with participants of the Nigerian Army War College course, at a lecture on the need for better synergy among security agencies harped on the need for the military to work closely with other security agencies in order to ensure the realization of federal government’s three points agenda which is centered on the provision of adequate security for its citizenry, to enhance economic growth.He noted further that the global affiliation of criminal organizations such as terrorist groups in the 21st century should be seen as a wake-up call for security agencies to depart from the tradition of the past and embrace the ideals of effective and efficient security service delivery that is centered on inter-agency collaborations, through joint training, joint operations and intelligence sharing.
He also reminded the course participants of the fact that criminal organizations don’t operate in isolation, hence the need for the military and other security services to work closely to promote effective intelligence sharing needed to tackle all forms of criminality in Nigeria.
In conclusion, the minister regretted the short fall in the nation’s revenue attributable to dwindling commodity prices and criminal activities, and urged all security agencies to develop initiatives that will help in improving the nation’s revenue, in order to maintain effective operations.
