 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.         The Ekiti State Governor says his fulfilment of his electioneering promises is responsible for the rousing welcome accorded him at Ijero Ekiti.
He made this known during an interview after the inauguration of the One point One kilometers Ijero dualized township roads with street lights.
He noted that his passion for development of the rural areas across the state made him embarked on the project despite economic recession in the country. He appealed to them to protect and maintain the infrastructure.
Chief Fayose urged Ijero Ekiti people to support Prof Kolapo Olushola to succeed him in order to continue the good works.
The Governor also commissioned an auditorium at the College of Health Technology, Ijero Ekitias part of activities marking his 3rd anniversary in office.
Lamenting that paucity of fund had left the institution under-funded, Mr. Fayose commended the provost, Mr. Bayo Ojo for making judicious use of available resources.
The governor who expressed sadness at not being able to fulfil his earlier promise of tarring some roads in the school vowed to write his name in gold before he times out of office in 2018.
"I am not happy I couldn't fulfil my promise to tar the roads in this school, I am not happy at all, but as the Lord liveth, come what may, I will do that before the end of my tenure in 2018", Fayose said.The governor advised students to steer clear of vices such as prostitution, cultism and drug abuse saying these acts are highway to destruction.More photos below.
