 NDLEA secures order to detain vessel, 21 crew members over cocaine shipment from Brazil  . We remain resolute to frustrate drug syndicates targeting Nigeria, says Marwa The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has secured an order of a Federal High Court in Lagos to detain a ship, its captain and 20 other crew members following the seizure of 25.5 kilograms of cocaine in the hatch of the commodity vessel from Brazil at the Apapa seaport in Lagos by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Operatives of the NDLEA acting on credible intelligence had on 6th December 2025 discovered the cocaine consignment aboard the merchant vessel MV San Anthonio from Brazil. After the full discharge of cargo from the ship, a total of 21 crew members of diverse nationalities including Russia, Phillipines, Ukraine and Azerbaijan were taken into NDLEA custody along with the drug exhibits.         The Ekiti State Governor says his fulfilment of his electioneering promises is responsible for the rousing welcome accorded him at Ijero Ekiti.
He made this known during an interview after the inauguration of the One point One kilometers Ijero dualized township roads with street lights.
He noted that his passion for development of the rural areas across the state made him embarked on the project despite economic recession in the country. He appealed to them to protect and maintain the infrastructure.
Chief Fayose urged Ijero Ekiti people to support Prof Kolapo Olushola to succeed him in order to continue the good works.
The Governor also commissioned an auditorium at the College of Health Technology, Ijero Ekitias part of activities marking his 3rd anniversary in office.
Lamenting that paucity of fund had left the institution under-funded, Mr. Fayose commended the provost, Mr. Bayo Ojo for making judicious use of available resources.
The governor who expressed sadness at not being able to fulfil his earlier promise of tarring some roads in the school vowed to write his name in gold before he times out of office in 2018.
"I am not happy I couldn't fulfil my promise to tar the roads in this school, I am not happy at all, but as the Lord liveth, come what may, I will do that before the end of my tenure in 2018", Fayose said.The governor advised students to steer clear of vices such as prostitution, cultism and drug abuse saying these acts are highway to destruction.More photos below.
