 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. DANA AIRLINE ALMOST CRASHED THIS MORNING AS IT WAS ABOUT TO LAND IN ABUJA AIRPORT.{PHOTOS}.#EYE-WITNESS.

       According to one of the passengers of the airline identified as Bayero Agabi,who took to a group on whasApp to announce how he cheated death after the Dana Airline he entered today almost crashed as it was about to land at Abuja airport.He made two videos of the incident which showed people and air hostesses in panic after the emergency exit of the plan suddenly opened.He captioned the two videos ''Bayero Agabi cheated death this morning as the Dana plane taking him to Abuja almost crash.The emergency exit opened just at the point of landing.This cause alot panic as passengers turn to prayers and thanksgiving.Details later''.I thank God for all their lives''.More photos below.
