 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. BENUE GOVT DRAGS MIYETTI ALLAH TO COURT.{PHOTO}.

      Benue State Government has dragged the Fulani sociocultural organisation,Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore to court.
Governor Smauel Ortom announced this on Monday while briefing Newsmen at the Benue Peoples House,Makurdi on assumption of duty after an annual leave abroad.
He said the case is before the State Hight Court in Makurdi and would come up for hearing this week.
Governor Ortom said the State government took the decision after repeated calls on the federal government to arrest the leadership of the sociocultural group for issuing threats and making inciting statements failed.
The Governor restated call on the Federal Government to arrest the leadership of Miyetti Allah which had continued to issue threats that were followed with violent killings of Benue People.
Governor Ortom said there was no going back on implementation of the ranching law and acknowledged the National Economic Council for upholding it,describing such step that could end the prolonged farmers,herdsmen skirmishes.
According to Governor Ortom,State government has identified points where the invaders were operating and launching their attacks and reported same to security agencies for necessary action.
Governor Ortom said they were expecting the Federal Government to resettle and rehabilitate Communities ravaged by herdsmen after a Committee had visted and done a thorough assessment.
He expressed optimism that the visit of the Chief of Army Staff to the State this week to reassess the security situation would pave the way for permanent peace.
