 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting.       The Roving Team of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone 'C' has seized container no. MRSU 3040288 found to carry military hard wears along Aba-Portharcourt road. 
Examination was conducted in the presence of a representative of the owner of the container and found to contain the followings:
1. Eleven (11) bales containing new sets of sewn military camouflage. Each bale contain 400 pairs of sewn military camouflage.
2. Fifteen (15) cartons containing Altama combat boots. Each carton contains 20 pairs.
3. Some sacks of made up garment.4. Seven (7) wooden furniture kitchen cabinets.
5.Three hundred and thirty seven (337) packs of new foreign tiles, made in China.
6. Twenty seven (27) medical equipments, made in China.
7. Thirty four (34) rolls of water hose, made in China.
8. Some household items.
The Comptroller in-charge of FOU Zone 'C', Ahmed Azarema said the owner's representative has been detained while investigation to get all those connected to this crime has already commenced.
