 GOVERNOR UBA APPRECIATES PRESIDENT TINUBU ON THE AWARD OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WORTH  ₦1.178 TRILLION IN KADUNA STATE   Kaduna State governor has extended appreciation to President Tinubu, and the Federal Executive Council for the approval and award of transformative infrastructure contracts that will indelibly reshape the economic and social landscape of the state.   The statement personally signed by the governor lists the projects as follows; the Kaduna Light Rail Project an ambitious undertaking spanning a Kilometers corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha, alongside a Kilometers line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre metropolitan network with an estimated value of One Trillion Naira.      According to different sources,Armed policemen on Wednesday morning allegedly sealed off Ekiti Government House and prevented supporters of Governor Ayodele Fayose from entering.-Punch
A rally scheduled to take place at the new pavilion located at Fajuyi, which was within the vicinity of the Government House, was reportedly botched as policemen allegedly teargassed the participants, reports ThisDay newspaper.
According to Vanguard ''Ado-Ekiti- There was alleged shooting by some security agents who had been occupying the pavilion close to the gates of Government House in Ado Ekiti.It was gathered that the police stationed at the pavilion fired teargas to disperse supporters of the PDP candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka and Governor Ayo Fayose who were were billed to commence a victory walk round the capital city in anticipation of victory in the July 14 poll. It was gathered that the governor purportedly fell down after perceiving the teargas.Chief Press Secretary to Fayose, Idowu Adelusi, who decried the shooting, urged the Commissioner of Police in the state, Ahmed Bello, to call the security agents to order before the incident escalates. Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Habila Joshak, while addressing newsmen on the conduct of the force in the forthcoming poll at the police headquarters, had described the PDP’s walk as a rally that was not approved. Joshak explained that due approval for the event was not got by the party from the police. He said the police would not undermine the governor and any citizen of the state but that approval must be taken before any political rally could hold. “We are not here to usurp the authority of Governor Fayose.
