  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. GOVERNOR WIKE ENTHRONED AS SPORTS GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR 2018.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike was on Friday enthroned as Nigeria's Sports Governor of the Year by the Nigerian Sports Awards.
The Nigerian Sports Award chose Governor Wike ahead of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa .
The organisers of the ceremony held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, said that Governor Wike has improved sports through investments and promotion of sporting activities.
He was commended for sponsoring the African Wrestling Championship and laying the foundation for the qualification of the Super Eagles for the World.
The organisers further praised the governor for the development of sporting facilities such as the Diete Spiff Civic Centre and the ongoing construction of the Real Madrid Football Academy in Port Harcourt.
Represented by Rivers State Sports Commissioner, Boma Iyaye, the Rivers State Governor reiterated his commitment to the promotion of sports as a veritable tool for youth empowerment.
It will be recalled that Governor Wike bagged the Power of Sports (POS) Africa earlier in the year, during the International Conference of International Sports Press Association in Brussels, Belgium.
