 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. GOVERNOR WIKE ENTHRONED AS SPORTS GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR 2018.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike was on Friday enthroned as Nigeria's Sports Governor of the Year by the Nigerian Sports Awards.
The Nigerian Sports Award chose Governor Wike ahead of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa .
The organisers of the ceremony held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, said that Governor Wike has improved sports through investments and promotion of sporting activities.
He was commended for sponsoring the African Wrestling Championship and laying the foundation for the qualification of the Super Eagles for the World.
The organisers further praised the governor for the development of sporting facilities such as the Diete Spiff Civic Centre and the ongoing construction of the Real Madrid Football Academy in Port Harcourt.
Represented by Rivers State Sports Commissioner, Boma Iyaye, the Rivers State Governor reiterated his commitment to the promotion of sports as a veritable tool for youth empowerment.
It will be recalled that Governor Wike bagged the Power of Sports (POS) Africa earlier in the year, during the International Conference of International Sports Press Association in Brussels, Belgium.
