 Lagos Court Jails NOGASA Chair, Fatuyi Phillips 21 Years  for N43.5m Fraud    Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, November 18, 2024, convicted and sentenced Fatuyi Yemi Philips, Chairman, Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria, NOGASA, to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5m fraud.   The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on April 5, 2022, arraigned Philips alongside his firm, Oceanview Oil and Gas Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N43, 502,000.00   Count one reads: "Fatuyi Yemi Philips and Oceanview Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, on or about the 28th day of September, 2016 at Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the aggregate sum of N43, 502,000.00 from Elochukwu Okoye and Elebana Unique Ventures Nigeria Limited on behalf of WAPCIL Nigeria Limited under the false rep

LASG DONATES SPORTING EQUIPMENT TO LASU.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Lagos State Government, through the State Sports Commission, has donated several Sporting equipment to the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.
Making the donation on Thursday behalf of Lagos State Government at the University Sports Center, Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Babatunde Bank-Anthony disclosed that the donation is targeted towards the development of Sports at the Institution.
He stated further that Lagos State Sports Commission will henceforth include the University in its Sports Development Programme, adding that the representatives of the Lagos State Sports Trust Fund will be invited to assist in getting funds for the Sports development of the University in order to upgrade the School’s sports complex into a world-class facility.
The Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, who received the sports equipment on behalf of the Institution, thanked the Sports Commission for donating the various items and assured that the University would make use of the donated equipment as expected by the Lagos State Sports Commission.Some of the Sports Equipment donated to the University include Table Tennis Boards, Bats and Nets, Joola Table Tennis balls, A pair of a basketball backboard and Spalding Leather Basketballs, Mikasa Volleyballs and Volleyball Nets and many others.
