A Tennessee family, and an entire community, has been left stunned and grieving after a pack of dogs took the life of a man out for a jog. When 43-year-old Marko Bursey arrived in Henning, Tennessee, to visit his parents, he had no idea that he would never be returning back to his home in Nashville. Marko could have never imagined the terrible fate that awaited him, lurking in the woods, near an abandoned school.  However, Marko's horrific death has had an indelible effect on not just his loved ones but an entire community as they search for answers on how this tragedy unfolded. The recent release of the 911 call Marko made provides a window into the horror of that July morning.  This father of six children had only recently arrived at his parents' home in Henning to visit with his loved ones.  On the morning of July 20th, Marko was up early and determined to get a run-in before he drove his daughter to work.     The Chairman of the North-West National Peace and Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Abiola Ajimobi, has said that the post-primaries disaffection among members of the party is not intractable.
Ajimobi, who is the governor of Oyo State, disclosed this in a statement by his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Mr. Bolaji Tunji, on Monday.
He therefore appealed to the aggrieved party members in the North-West zone to take advantage of the committee’s reconciliation meeting scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
Ajimobi promised that the committee was coming with an open mind and would be prepared to listen to the grievances of party members with a view to resolving them amicably.
He said: “As in every human endeavour, there is bound to be disagreement within the APC family, especially in relation to the just-concluded primaries. Being the largest party in Africa, we had a large number of eminently qualified people who jostled for tickets.
“But as in every contest, a winner must emerge and those who could not actualize their ambition were bound to feel embittered, no matter how transparent the process might be.
“Let me use this opportunity to appeal to our members to explore the internal mechanism for seeking redress in the larger interest of the party. 2019 is around the corner and we cannot afford to the election as a divided house.”
Ajimobi said today (Tuesday) and Wednesday’s parley in Kaduna would bring together party faithful across the North-West to resolve pending disagreements and expressed optimism that APC would come out stronger in the end.
