Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search.        The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akwa Ibom State has commended the Nigerian Army for its professionalism and excellent conduct during the 2019 General Elections.
In a letter personally signed by Hon Mike Igini, the Akwa Ibom Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), INEC singled out officers and men of 6 Division led by Col MU Ahmed deployed for election duties in Akwa Ibom State for commendation for their exceptional non-partisan and professional conduct in the discharge of their duties during the elections.
