 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.   Theresa May has announced her decision to resign as the British Prime Minister.
Ms May announced on Friday that she will quit as the leader of the ruling Conservative Party and Prime Minister on June 7.
She has been battling hard to get the British parliament to agree to her Brexit deal for the UK to quit the European Union.
She said she had “done my best” to honour the 2016 EU referendum result where Britons voted to leave the EU.
She said it would remain a matter of “deep regret” that she had been unable to deliver Brexit.
Ms May added that it was “in the best interests of the country” to get a new prime minister.Her exit would pave the way for the ruling Conservative Party to choose a new leader who would assume office as prime minister.Ms May is the second female prime minister of the UK, after Margaret Thatcher.
