 Global football icon Lionel Messi departed Jamnagar on Tuesday after a brief but high profile visit to Vantara, the wildlife rescue and conservation centre hosted by Anant Ambani. The visit formed part of Messi’s ongoing India tour, which has drawn massive public and media attention across the country. Visuals shared by news agency ANI showed Messi travelling in a tight security convoy from Jamnagar Airport along with fellow Argentine footballers Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul. The departure took place amid heightened security arrangements, reflecting the scale of interest surrounding the legendary footballer’s presence in Gujarat.
