  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.      Today, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued the #RoyalVisitSouthAfrica by meeting the President of South Africa, President Ramaphosa, meeting Graça Machel, widow of Nelson Mandela, and visiting a Youth Employment Service.
At the Youth Employment Service Their Royal Highnesses learnt about the programme which aims to tackle the issue of youth unemployment by creating one million work opportunities over the next three years.
They also attended a Creative Industries and Business Reception meeting entrepreneurs and finding out more about the UK/South Africa relationship.
Finally, to conclude the #RoyalVisitSouthAfrica TRHs met President Ramaphosa.More photos below.
