 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. LAGOS STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY MATRICULATES OVER 400 STUDENTS.#PRESS RELEASE.

    The Lagos State College of Health Technology, Yaba has enrolled over 400 students into the institution during the 20th edition of its matriculation exercise held at the College premises.
The State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, in his address to the students during the matriculation ceremony, urged them to support the State government in its quest to achieve efficient healthcare delivery.
Abayomi, represented at the event by the Director of Pharmaceutical Services, Ministry of Health, Dr. Sherifat Owokoniran, felicitated with the school management and admonished them to uphold the standard of producing middle-level manpower that would continue to advance the State’s health sector.
In his speech at the event, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Barrister Tokunbo Wahab, charged the newly admitted students to embrace diligence, hard work and be focused in their studies.
According to him, "Your success here and eventual graduation is tied to your ability to distinguish yourself and shun all forms of distractions. You are to contribute meaningfully to help this administration achieve its plans for providing better and quality healthcare to the citizens".
The Special Adviser, represented by the Director, Standards and Accreditation in his Office, Mr. Segun Idowu, assured the freshmen of the provision of the right environment and exposure to necessary materials needed to excel in their pursuit of academic excellence.
He also implored the parents and guardians of the students to support and encourage them to excel and also justify the government’s investment in the sector.
The Provost of the College, Dr. Moyo Kassim in his speech, warned the students against laziness, saying that the school would not condone any act of indiscipline from any of its students.
He specifically enjoined the students to be dedicated to their studies and uphold the dignity of the profession which is hinged on passion to save a life.
Also in attendance at the event were the immediate past Chairman of the Governing Council of the College, Dr. Abiola Tilley-Gyado and other top government dignitaries.
